Pregnant and Parenting Resources

As a Catholic institution of higher learning, the University of Dallas fully recognizes the foundational importance of family and is committed to providing support, care, and community to our parenting and pregnant students. Below is information relating to a variety of services available to help these students address their unique needs and complete their studies.

The Title IX Office is an excellent place to start if you are not sure what services or help you might need as a pregnant or parenting student. The Title IX Office can help students request temporary accommodations, navigate resources both on and off campus, and facilitate assistance with financial aid, housing and part time or leave of absence options.

Lactation Space

In recognition of the well documented health advantages of breastfeeding for infants and mothers, the University of Dallas provides a supportive environment to enable breastfeeding students to nurse or express their milk during school hours. To gain access to the lactation space in Cardinal Farrell Hall, please contact the Title IX Office.

Financial Aid

All pregnant and parenting students are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance with any financial concerns. In addition, Campus Ministry and the Office of Student Affairs can help students identify outside local resources that may be able to offset the costs of housing and medical care for pregnant or parenting students in need.
